Bose L1 Pro32 + SUB2

A powered, portable bass module, the Sub2 subwoofer combines with virtually any portable PA and delivers low-end performance down to 37 Hz. It’s unique 10” × 18” high-excursion neodymium RaceTrack driver allows for an ultra-slim enclosure, delivering a performance that rivals traditional round drivers without the cumbersome size, freeing up room in your vehicle and on the stage. Compared to the Sub1 subwoofer, Sub2 is the more powerful subwoofer option for the Bose L1 Pro32 system, combining seamlessly via single-cable SubMatch connectivity. Big sound with deep boost

Here comes the most powerful line array in the L1 series, which is also quick to set up. The L1 Pro32 from Bose is the flagship of the L1 series. Compared to the smaller models, the array has many times more mid-high-range speakers and yet has an impressively slim design. A mixer is integrated into the stand. The subwoofer stands separately and is extra powerful. The sound pressure of the set is enormous, the sound is brilliantly backed by rich bass. What is striking is the comparatively narrow vertical radiation angle. This means that the sound goes exactly where it is supposed to. The mixer offers numerous connections, including Bluetooth. It can also be controlled via an app. And with the easy-to-use sound control, the optimal one can quickly be selected from various presets.

Power and brilliance

Up to three channels can be amplified in no time with the Bose L1 Pro32 + Sub2. Since the mixer is built into the stand, all cables can be laid on the floor in a visually appealing way. While the first two inputs have XLR/jack combo sockets with phantom power that can be switched on together, the third offers Bluetooth, a 6.35 mm jack or a mini jack connection. The mixer can also be operated with an app. A Bose T4S or T8S mixer can also be connected. You can choose from various tone match presets to optimize the sound. The setup is simple. You put the two array elements in the base. A cable from the back of the stand carries both power and the sound signal to the sub-bass. The full sound of the extra-large high-excursion RaceTrack driver is impressive. It is completed by no less than 32 2" articulated neodymium drivers, which deliver detailed and clear mids and highs right up to the outermost areas of large halls.

For small acts in large locations

The Bose L1 Pro32 + Sub2 is made for medium and large locations. The set impresses solo artists, duos or mobile DJs and especially the listeners with its extremely voluminous sound with voluminous bass sound. The fact that the subwoofer delivers from as low as 37 Hz makes music in particular seem particularly powerful. In wide banquet halls and large clubs, guests experience the sound very evenly in a wide semicircle in front of the array. The vertical sound propagation is clearly defined. On tour, the L1 can be put together in no time at all. Singer-songwriters can connect a vocal microphone plus guitar, DJs have two full-fledged XLR inputs at their disposal. The system is also ideal for product presentations. A speaker microphone can be quickly wired up. Background music can be played via Bluetooth with a smartphone.

Just a quick look for good sound

If you are a solo artist touring large clubs and value powerful sound, the Bose L1 Pro32 + Sub2 is a line array that you can set up quickly. The 23.65 kg sub-bass can be quickly brought to the venue using the handle embedded in the top of the housing. You put the two array elements in the stand and wire the sub into it. That was the PA setup. If you now use input 1 for a vocal microphone, you still have a mono channel free for keyboard or guitar. Now it's time for the fine work. To optimize the sound with a preset, press the ToneMatch button on the channel until the LED for the desired preset lights up. Use the channel parameter control to set the volume, treble, bass and reverb. Then the performance can begin. The mid/high frequency array travels well protected in the included bag, as do the stand and sub. What's particularly practical about the subwoofer is that, thanks to the oval driver shape, it takes up so little space in the tour bus.
